Location: Panaji, Goa, India

The aim of project was to create self – working, independent hostel. In meaning of well organized building with self-sufficient energy sources.
First of all I wanted to focus one weather conditions. The climate of India is changeable during year. In winters there are monsoons, during this time there are lots of rainfalls. During summer situation is different, the climate is dry and raw. These aspects were important in process of creating design.
Building interacts to local environment conditions. Like sun path, openings and shaders providing light or shadow for habitants and plants around building. Building also fully take advantage of weather – monsoons by collecting water, filtering, cleaning and recycle waste.
SITUATED DESIGN:
The location is on hill, in the one of highest point of Panaji hill.
What is important in this project is maximum use of sunlight, and also view from Hostel.
